One-Handed Gate Latch

How do you chain a gate if you can only use one hand? What if you have a stroke or lose an arm or have a hand injury so you can not grip a chain to fasten it with a clip or wrap it around a post to hook it back on the gate? The one hand gate latch is a quick and easy way to fasten a gate chain with one hand.

A pin quickly clips onto the end of your existing gate chain.	A spring-loaded receiver is lag-bolted onto a wooden gate post or welded onto a steel gate post.	The chain pin is simply inserted into the receiver and twisted ¼ turn.

A spring-loaded latch in the receiver securely holds the chain pin in place to hold the gate shut.  A quick push and twist releases the chain pin to open the gate.  Livestock are not able to do the motion required to release the chain pin.
